Josie Long stars in this rom-com turned fascist nightmare. ‘Super November’ is Drinking Buddies meets Children of Men in a “genuine genre experiment” from Josie Long and Douglas King.

First aired on BBC Radio 4 on 8th April 2015 at 11:30am. A new sitcom from award-winning comedian Josie Long about a young woman trying to build a new, more fulfilling life for herself in Glasgow.
Glasgow is the indie band theme park, where Josie will finally be happy and accepted. But almost as soon as she de-trains at Queen Street Station she begins to think she’s made a big mistake. Josie sets about finding friends, a place to live and a new job. Based on characters from the short films “Romance and Adventure” and “Let’s Go Swimming” by Josie Long and Douglas King.

Synopsis:
Josie has left her life in London for a better one in Glasgow, the indie band theme park where she will finally be happy and accepted. Her flatmate Darren is just happy having his meals cooked by someone other than his mum.
Together they drink tea and wander the streets searching for romance, adventure or a job, making fun of squares and making up games. It’s them against the world, or so Josie hopes. How much can you rely on a friend who doesn’t want to grow up?

Darren is Josie’s best friend; Josie is Darren’s flatmate. Approaching 30, they wander the streets in knitwear, wondering why all of their friends are staying in to paint their houses at the weekends.

Let’s Go Swimming (2012)

Synopsis:
Following a bad break-up and no longer enthused by London life, Josie has arrived in the ‘indie theme-park’ of Glasgow, itching for a fresh start in a city which she has always admired. Whilst there she attempts to launch herself into her new resolutions – making new friends, hanging out with cool musicians and going swimming however she soon realises that her ambitions are not quite so easy to achieve and Glasgow might not hold the answers she is looking for.

Synopsis:
This is a film about coming home late from a night out and your usual surroundings feeling unfamiliar from seeing it outwith your daily routine. It’s about the excitement of meeting someone new and telling your friends about it when you’re knackered from the night before.

Synopsis:
Darren fancies a girl who shares the same signing on time at his local job centre. When he’s offered the chance of employment, he faces a difficult decision whether to stay on job seekers with her, or take the job.

Data Entry (2010)

Synopsis:
Data Entry is a short comedy/drama on employment with the ‘lost generation’ from the recession. The film is set in a drab data entry office in the centre of Glasgow, where our hero suffers from extended bouts of boredom, staring at the clock and the girl he fancies. The film is making its way round the festival circuit.

A man helps his flatmate recover from a hangover in his unique (and slightly abusive) style.
